Florida State had a rough Saturday. Not only did the Seminoles get mollywhopped by Georgia on the gridiron, their college basketball team closed out non-conference play with a brutal loss to a mid-major program.

The embarrassing sequence of events did not end there!

Lipscomb is having a fantastic year and defeated Arkansas on the road a few weeks back. Its win over Florida State should not be discredited. The Bisons are one of the better programs in the ASUN.

Regardless of how good the opponent might be, the Seminoles cannot lose that game at home. They led for just 4:56 minutes of gameplay, with the majority of that time to open the first half, and trailed by as much as 21 during the second half. Their comeback attempt fell just short.

Florida State lost to Lipscomb by three.

Not long after the final buzzer sounded, the losing side posted a final score graphic. Credit to them for posting the final score after an ugly loss. Unfortunately, the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day continued and the first attempt at a graphic was unsuccessful.

Whomever was responsible for the post failed to remove some dummy text from the image.

‘LOREM IPSUM’ was written in all caps both above and over the opponent’s logo.

Oops!

Mistakes happen and it was really no big deal. The Seminoles deleted and later reposted the proper graphic. No harm, no foul.

However, for Florida State to lose the game and then post an error-ridden graphic is such a brutal way to go out. It pours salt directly into the wound.

To make things even worse, by deleting and reposting the graphic just about an hour later gave the internet trolls a second opportunity to crack jokes. Everybody had mostly moved on from the loss until they were reminded of the loss once again!

Tough day in Tallahassee.
