The Miami Heat have been on an absolutely shocking run this offseason.

Despite finishing with the best record in the NBA’s South division, the Heat ended up with the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference.

That set them up to challenge the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in a series where they were widely counted out. Then they took out the Bucks.

Next up was the New York Knicks, who had just dominated the Cavs and were also expected to not have too much trouble getting by the Heat.

Miami took them out too.

Now they’re on to their latest victim, the Boston Celtics.

The Heat won the first 3 games of the series against the defending Eastern Conference champs and currently hold a 3-1 lead in the series.

Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla took over after Ime Udoka was suspended before the start of the season and now the team’s struggles in this series have some fans calling for his job already.

It turns out a former player who won a ring with the Celtics is among those who think Mazzulla’s job should be in jeopardy right now.

Glen “Big Baby” Davis told TMZ Sports that he thinks Mazzulla should be fired if the Celtics don’t complete the comeback against the Heat.

Firing a coach because he couldn’t take a team to the Finals in his first season seems a bit harsh, but this is also a Celtics team that just has a lot more talent than the Heat right now.

With that talent disparity, it’s not much of a surprise that Mazzulla is on the hot seat right now given the way his team has performed.

Luckily for Mazzulla, his team has a bit of momentum after they got their first win of the series with a strong Game 4 performance and now they head home for Game 5.

He may need another strong performance from the Boston Celtics tonight if he’s going to remain their head coach next season.
