A former Green Bay Packers player believes David Bakhtiari will join the New York Jets.

Bakhtiari and Aaron Rodgers played together in Green Bay.

Over the course of this NFL offseason, the New York Jets have done everything they can to make sure Aaron Rodgers will be comfortable with his new team.

They hired his old offensive coordinator.

They signed Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb to give him some familiar targets to throw to in his first season with the team.

The Jets even signed Aaron Rodgers’ old backup QB to back him up again.

Today, another one of Rodgers’ former backup QBs revealed that he doesn’t believe that will be the last of his former Packers teammates to join him with the Jets.

Former Packers QB Kurt Benkert told Kay Adams that he believes David Bakhtiari will also reunite with Rodgers.

“I think if anyone ends up there, it’s going to be David simply because he gets tagged in every single picture that Aaron posts on Instagram still. And there’s just there’s a saga there. They’re like, they love each other. And Aaron misses his golf cart, I’m sure.”

Rodgers and Bakhtiari were very close during their time together in Green Bay and it just so happens that the Jets could use a left tackle.

The team seems to be getting tired of waiting for Mekhi Becton to become the player they were hoping to get when they drafted him and the position is currently occupied by Billy Turner.

Baktiari would definitely be an improvement at the position and would help protect the Jets’ big new investment.

He’s currently under contract with the Green Bay Packers and they haven’t given any indication they’re interested in trading him, but if the team struggles this season, maybe we’ll see him heading to East Rutherford.
