Caleb Love has been the source of a couple of surprises for college basketball fans this offseason.

After opting not to enter the NBA Draft last year so he could try and make another run with the North Carolina Tar Heels, he decided to hit the transfer portal this offseason.

It initially appeared that he would be heading to Michigan for his next college basketball season, but an issue with his transfer credits led to him recommitting from the Wolverines.

Now he is back on the transfer market as one of the biggest names available and it looks like he will once again be attracting the attention of some of the top programs in college basketball.

According to 247 Sports’ Eric Bossi, Love has been linked to Gonzaga, Texas, and Arizona since it was revealed he wouldn’t actually be heading to Ann Arbor.

The team that seems to need this signing the most is Arizona. They lost starting guard Kerr Kriisa to the transfer portal. They are also losing Azuolas Tubelis to the draft.

They recently got a big commitment from San Diego State’s Kesha Johnson, but this team still badly needs help in the backcourt and needs a scorer.

Love would give them both of those things.

If he chooses either Gonzaga or Texas, he’ll be teaming up with another transfer player to form one of college basketball’s most formidable backcourts.

At Texas he’d be teaming up with Max Abmas, who is transferring in from Oral Roberts and has averaged over 20 points per game in each of the past 3 seasons.

At Gonzaga he would be playing alongside former Creighton guard Ryan Nembhard. He left Creighton after averaging 12.1 points and 4.8 assists per game while leading the Blue Jays to the Elite Eight.

Wherever he ends up, Caleb Love will be expected to make a big impact next season.
