Canadian driver Lance Stroll is having a no good, very bad 2023 Formula 1 season.

Stroll, in his seventh season in the series, sits just 10th in points with six races remaining.

On the contrary, his Aston Martin F1 team, which is owned in part by Stroll’s father Lawrence, is having one of its best seasons in recent memory.

Stroll’s teammate Fernando Alonso, a two-time series champion, sits fourth in points and has finished on the podium seven different times this season.

Alonso has been so good, in fact, that Aston Martin sits fourth in the Constructors Championship despite Stroll’s struggles.

Those struggles for Stroll continued on Friday during qualifying for this weekend’s Qatar Grand Prix.

While Alonso, as per usual this season, made the final round of qualifying and finished in the (INSERT) position, Stroll did not have as much luck.

The 24-year-old was eliminated in the first round of qualifying and will start Sunday’s race in 17th position.

But that was just the beginning of his problems.

After being eliminated from qualifying, Stroll showed his displeasure by shoving his personal trainer, who was trying to speak with him in the Aston Martin garage.

He continued the temper tantrum in his post-session interview, stonewalling the pit reporter.

Fans were not exactly impressed by his display.

“Lance stroll needs to leave Formula 1. Even if it’s for a year. Bring back Sebastian and make him teammates with Alonso,” one fan said.

Lance Stroll should be embarrassed by his actions during quali. Daddy buying you a team doesn’t mean you can shove people,” said another.

The prevailing theory seemed to be that Stroll does not belong in the sport.

“It’s a damning indictment of how poor Lance Stroll has been thus far in his #F1 career that this temper tantrum and petulant interview is immediately the most notable thing he’s done. This is embarrassing,” Twitter user Paul Dawkins wrote.
It’s one thing to struggle on track. It’s another entirely to behave the way Stroll did off it.
