Everyone Freak Out: Fox News Says The Super Bowl May Be Canceled
Fox News tried to give Americans everywhere fatal heart attacks this morning by speculating that Super Bowl XLIX could be canceled thanks to a soon-to-expire bill.
According to the network’s report, the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act, which offers government help covering terrorism insurance policies, expires at year’s end. The NFL is among the sports leagues that uses the act for its venues.
Fox & Friends then got out their shiniest jump-to-conclusions mat and floated an idea that Super Bowl XLIX in Phoenix would be canceled.
The idea was squashed by the league before it could even make it to water coolers and concerned Secondhand News enthusiasts.
In regards to reports that Super Bowl could be in jeopardy due to expiring terrorism insurance, NFL said, “The Super Bowl will be played.”

So. The Super Bowl will either happen or not happen, depending on who you trust more: the NFL or Fox News.
