Serena Williams beat the shit out of Francesca Schiavone, her first-round opponent in the U.S. Open, last night in Flushing. It wasn’t pretty, but luckily for the Italian, it was over quickly.
Schiavone did excel in the humor department, though. In the midst of her beatdown, she shared a warm embrace with an unsuspecting ball boy. The look on his face was priceless.
I’m sure there’s a part of him deep down that wishes it was Maria Sharapova seeking comfort. And I know exactly which part.
