Ex-UFC Champ Francis Ngannou To Make $8 Million In Boxing Match Vs Tyson Fury According To Report

Francis Ngannou in the Octagon

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is getting paid big money to fight heavyweight boxing champ, Tyson Fury.

Earlier this year, UFC president Dana White announced that he would release Ngannou after contract negotiations broke down.

Nearly six months after leaving the UFC, Ngannou, who wanted to test his skills outside of MMA, landed a big-time boxing match against Tyson Fury that will be funded by Saudis and take place in Saudi Arabia.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Ngannou will be paid $8 million for his fight with Fury, which is much more than he earned in his final UFC fight against Ciryl Gane.

Francis Ngannou’s multi-million-dollar roll of the dice appears to have paid off as he stands to earn more than $8million (£6m) from his upcoming fight with Tyson Fury.

Fury is expected to make considerably more than his rival, but after a disclosed payout of just $600,000 for his last title defence at a sold out KIA Forum in Los Angeles, Ngannou will be over the moon with his new purse. In fact, his manager Marquel Martin has indicated he would have had to fight a number of times to make the amount he is earning for the Fury bout.
