Florida State suffered one of its worst losses in school history on Saturday night courtesy of Jacksonville State, but that didn’t keep one Seminole from making a positive memory.
Jacksonville State ripped the Noles’ hearts out with a last-second deep ball. It wasn’t even a Hail Mary into the end zone, it was just a deep pass in which the Jacksonville State wide receiver caught what just a routine pass, and at that same moment, two of Florida State’s defenders forgot that it was their job to tackle the player.
It was one of the more bizarre game-winning plays in recent memory.

One Florida State player wasn’t going to let the horrific loss ruin his plans of proposing to his girlfriend. It didn’t matter to him that everyone besides himself was depressed inside that stadium, he was dropping to one knee on Saturday, Sept. 11, and popping the question.
Thankfully, someone snapped a photo of the moment delivering one of the greatest pictures the college football world has ever seen.
Jacksonville State players, the school’s band, and their 26 fans are literally still celebrating in the other endzone and the FSU player thought ‘yep, this seems like a good time to get a fianceé.’

The photo of Brady Scott proposing is getting a lot of attention — here's the video.
I was getting shots of players walking off the field, heard some cheering, turned around — and Brady was on one knee.
Special moment for these two and their families! pic.twitter.com/OFZ1jYL5ge

For anyone out there that has proposed to someone, you do get your mind fixed on a certain time and date to pop the question, which seems to be the case here. That’s all fine and well, the guy could have still proposed that night, but maybe don’t do it literal minutes after your football team just got embarrassed by an FCS team.
The awareness here just isn’t great. Plus, these two will have to tell the ‘how did he propose story’ no less than 100 times over the next few days and each time they have to mention it was on the football field after a loss to Jacksonville State. Absolutely brutal.
