George Pickens decided to insult the Jacksonville Jaguars secondary just three days before he will line up against the Jacksonville Jaguars secondary. Bold move!

The 22-year-old pass-catcher has proven to be one of the most explosive young players in the NFL. He has also showed, dating back to his time at Georgia, that he is not one to hold back on how he feels.

Whether that be on the field or off, George Pickens always seems to be picking a fight with someone.

This week is no exception!

The Steelers will host the Jaguars on Sunday. Both teams have two losses. Both teams believe that they have a legitimate opportunity to play their way in to the playoffs.

Pittsburgh’s offense, led by Matt Canada, has been really terrible at times. Even in victory last weekend! There was no creativity to the offense in a seven-point win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Success stemmed almost entirely from Pickens on back-shoulder throws. He looked awesome and caught five passes for 107 yards, which helped to open things up for Najee Harris’ best game of the year.

If the Steelers are going to keep winning, Pickens needs to be involved.

That is especially true against Jacksonville, which has an above-average defense that ranks pretty comfortably in the upper half of the league. And now it will be playing angry with extra focus on Pickens.

He fueled the Jaguars’ fire with some bold comments on Thursday.

Pickens said that their secondary plays “hope defense” against the pass. The implication was that they are not very good, and that they pray for an incompletion on every play.

Jacksonville defensive back Darious Williams and Andre Cisco are tied for the second-most interceptions in the NFL this season. They are not going to like what Pickens had to say!
