Boxing Star Gervonta Davis Arrested 10 Days Before Fight Against Hector Luis Garcia

Gervonta Davis has reportedly been arrested in Florida just 10 days before his scheduled fight against Hecotr Luis Garcia.

The bout was scheduled to take place in the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. but Gervonta Davis’ reported arrest in Florida for ‘battery domestic violence’ throws all of that into question.

It is unclear if Gervonta’s arrest in Florida will delay the scheduled bout in Washington D.C. Gervonta Davis is 27-0 with 25 knockouts.

This reported battery domestic violence arrest isn’t his first run-in with the law. Davis had an arrest warrant in 2017 for first-degree aggravated assault, a charge that was later lessened to second-degree assault.

In 2018, police were called when he got into a fight in Washington D.C.

In 2020, he was arrested on charges of domestic violence against a former girlfriend after a violent incident at the University of Miami.

In March 2021, he was indicted on 14 traffic violations and now faces a trial and 7 years in prison.

Gervonta Davis has held world championship title belts in 3 weight categories and the Boxing Writers Association of America has him ranked as the 10th best pound-for-pound boxer in the world.
