Could Giannis Antetokounmpo end up in Texas next season? On Monday morning, ESPN’s Shams Charania dropped a bombshell report revealing that Antetokounmpo is considering his options and could decide to leave Milwaukee this offseason.

“Two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has not made any firm decisions, but for the first time in his career, he is open-minded about whether his best fit is remaining in Milwaukee – or playing elsewhere, league sources told ESPN.”

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst revealed that the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets are the two teams fans need to watch in a potential trade for Giannis.

“You’re going to look that have players to trade and other team’s draft assets that they can trade besides theirs. San Antonio and Houston, pay attenion there.”

Sam Amico of Hoops Wire reports that Antetokounmpo is “intrigued” by the idea of playing for a team with no state income tax.

“Houston and San Antonio are in Texas, where there are no state income taxes. Antetokounmpo is intrigued by that idea, the source said”

“The Bucks signed Antetokounmpo to a three-year $175 million extension in October 2023 and will make 54,126,380 next season.”

Several other teams, including the Brooklyn Nets and the Miami Heat, will be interested in the Giannis sweepstakes if he makes himself available this summer.
