The New York Giants have been bad this season, sitting at just 2-6 through eight games. In those six losses, they’ve averaged just eight points a night.

This comes despite the return of Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley, a duo that much was expected of in the preseason. It’s been a stark change from the squad that made the playoffs just last year.

The season got off to an ominous start after a 40-0 loss to the division rival Cowboys. That would’ve been the low point of the campaign thus far if not for a fourth quarter collapse against the Aaron Rodgers-less Jets just last week.

A controversial call gave the Jets life as they’d eventually tie the game on the final play of regulation before winning in overtime, 13-10.

The struggles, particularly on offense, haven’t lent Vegas much confidence in the Giants. That’s showing as New York gears up for a meeting with the Raiders.

The Raiders just fired head coach Josh McDaniels, as well as their offensive coordinator and general manager, after a Monday night loss to the Lions. They’ve also decided to bench Jimmy Garoppolo, opting to move on to rookie signal caller Aidan O’Connell.

Despite those key absences, the Giants are still underdogs.

Those on social media have been quick to comment on that interesting opening line.

“The Giants are just trash!”

“This tells you everything you need to know about the state of the NYG.”

“If this doesn’t prove they’re the worst team in the NFL, I don’t know what does.”

If the Giants lose to the Raiders on Sunday, then I’ll believe they’ve fully embraced the tank.”

We’ll see if the Giants can not only cover the two-point spread but pull out an upset win on Sunday.
