Giants Defensive Coordinator Wink Martindale is feeling the heat as he gears up to face the Miami Dolphins’ offense this week.

Martindale didn’t mince words when talking about the 3-1 Dolphins, comparing them to the legendary “Greatest Show On Turf” Rams from back in the day.

In a candid moment with the media, Martindale shared a conversation he had with his wife.

She asked him how he’s managing to get any sleep while preparing for the Week 5 game against Miami.

Martindale response was both humorous and telling: “My wife called me last night before she went to bed. She said she was worried about me. She said, ‘Are you getting any sleep?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’m sleeping like a baby. Every two hours I wake up and cry and go to the bathroom and try to go back and get some more sleep.'”

The Dolphins certainly won’t make things easy for Martindale’s defense. Just two weeks ago, they put up a whopping 70 points against the Broncos.

On the flip side, the Giants have struggled on defense, particularly in the running game, where they’re allowing 133.8 rushing yards per game (25th in the league) and have surrendered seven scores on the ground, tied for the most in the NFL.

Their pass defense is bad too, ranking 29th in average pass EPA allowed.
