Multiple groups of golfers were left stunned recently when a stampede of kangaroos that “felt like it went forever” interrupted their rounds.

Two golfers in separate groups, Stephen Roche and Michael McCarthy, were able to capture wild video of the unusual scene at the Heritage Golf and Country Club in Chirnside Park, Australia.

“We have kangaroos on our 2 courses at Heritage Golf & Country Club, but I’ve never seen this before!!” Roche wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) showing the never-ending pack of kangaroos bounding down the course, through sand traps and across greens.

“Was this yesterday? If so, I was on the tee filming it from the other angle! Felt like it went forever,” McCarthy responded with a video of his own.

“Yes it was Michael! Amazing to see wasn’t it?!” Roche replied back.

Naturally, since a scene such is this is so foreign to anyone outside of Australia, people on X had many questions for the two golfers.

“I know there has to be some cool Aussie term for a giant herd of kangaroos. What is it?” one person asked.

“A mob,” Roche replied. (They are also called a troop or a court.)

“Tough on the greens?” another viewer questioned.

“Surprisingly no,” Roche answered. “Soft footed animal. The only sign of them is footprints in bunkers.”

Of course, several people also had jokes.

Somebody opened the Jumanji set,” one person wrote.

“Must be members,” one person kidded. “Not a rake touched.”

“Did they bother to check in at the pro shop before heading out?” someone else asked.

“‘Okay! I guess we’re playing for keeps now. I guess the kidding around is pretty much over, huh? I guess it’s just a matter now of pumping about 15,000 gallons of water down there to teach you a little bit of a lesson. Is that it? I think it is!’ ~ CarlSpackler,” another viewer wrote, referring to Bill Murray in the classic golf movie Caddyshack.
