The NFL Network is moving their popular ‘Good Morning Football” show cross country and there are still plenty of questions to be answered about the move.

On Wednesday the Sports Business Journal revealed that GMFB would be moving from New York to Los Angeles with a two hour expansion.

According to a report from Sports Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina, the hosts had no idea the show was moving until the news broke and it’s currently unclear if they would be going to LA.

“A source told me it’s not yet known if any or all four cast members will be making the move to L.A. Erdahl, Brandt, McCourty and Schrager have been invited to join the new iteration of the show on the West Coast, but no decisions have been made by any cast members. A source indicated that the cast found out about the show moving nearly 3,000 miles away not long before the story was broken Wednesday morning by Sports Business Journal.”

On Thursday morning, Kyle Brandt opened the show by insisting that GMFB as we know it was not ending.

“News of the program yesterday with just a dash of Internet confusion. The news is that Good Morning Football is moving before the 2024 season around training camp, Good Morning Football goes west…but contrary to some oddly worded tweets ‘Good Morning Football”, the show, the brand is going to continue for a very long time. It’s expanding, more bigger, brighter….It’s going to be a little bit different and then it’s going to be right back to lead block”

Brandt didn’t confirm which hosts would move with the show and left many questions unanswered about what was going on behind the scenes. Hopefully, fans will get some clarification in the coming weeks about the show’s future.
