This has been a busy week for Aaron Rodgers rumors. Yesterday, it was reported that his relationship with Shailene Woodley was over. Then Terrell Davis came out and said that he expects Rodgers to be a member of the Denver Broncos next season.

Now, we’re getting some news about the Green Bay Packers. According to a report, the Packers are expected to hire a quarterbacks coach that will help them keep Aaron Rodgers with the organization.

Clements has previously served as the QB coach and offensive coordinator for the Packers during a large portion of Rodgers’ career. It seems particularly important that he was a part of the staff that helped Rodgers develop early in his career.

The job became available this offseason when Luke Getsy left to become the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears. Filling the open position with somebody Aaron Rodgers trusts is a great move the Packers.

Rodgers’s main complaints about the Packers in the past have been that he doesn’t get input on personnel decisions and the Packers don’t put pieces around him to succeed. This will help alleviate that first concern.

It should also start to convince Rodgers that the team will begin to change course on the second issue.

There shouldn’t be a single issue more important to the Packers right now than holding onto their 2-time reigning MVP quarterback. For now, it looks like they’re willing to do whatever they have to make sure that happens.
