Tom Brady is going to be the top color analyst job at Fox Sports next season, which is bad news for Greg Olsen.

Brady will take over for Olsen in the broadcast booth after signing a massive 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports last year.

Olsen, who is extremely popular with fans, spoke with Dan Patrick about the demotion, still feeling the desire to call top games.

“I want to call top games. I want to call games in front of 57 million people, and dive into the biggest moments… And I feel like we’ve done as good a job at doing that as anyone in the industry over the last couple seasons.”

Olsen says he understands the situation regarding Brady but will be looking for an opportunity to be a top analyst again whenever he gets the chance.

“We understand the delicate situation that we’re in, I understand when Tom Brady is looming over your shoulder, it’s the biggest news in sports. I get it, he’s Tom Brady, he’s someone I’ve respected for 20 years, so I understand the uniqueness of what’s going on and I feel like we’ve handled it as well as we could have in the last two years. if I can get the opportunity to call top games at Fox Sports or somewhere else, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”

Brady was asked about taking over for Olsend during a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.

“I think Greg’s done an incredible job,” Brady said. ‘I have so much respect for him, how he approaches his job. He’s super prepared in what he does. I think he does an incredible job every time he’s on. I love listening to him. And I’m just going to go in there and do the best I can do with my own perspective.”
