QB Gunnar Gundy opted to transfer from Oklahoma State after spending his first three seasons in Stillwater. The passer’s own father couldn’t keep him on campus despite also being his head coach, but there might be someone that can convince him to return!

Cowgirl pole vaulter Sarah Stair went viral on Thursday thanks to a bit of a thirst trap posted by an Oklahoma State social media account.

“Newest Stillwater Star,” a caption read accompanied by a photo of Stair.

The former Poke signal caller took note, with Gundy responding immediately to the post while joking about making his way back to his original university.

“I’m coming back,” his retweet read.

Stair wrapped up her first season with Oklahoma State in 2023 after transferring from conference rival West Virginia. She finished 10th overall in outdoor competition at the Big 12 Championships last year according to her athletics bio.

Gunnar Gundy, meanwhile, is no longer a part of the Oklahoma State athletics program following a decision to transfer this past offseason. In three years with the school, he totaled 449 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions, mostly in a reserve role.

His most impressive performance came in a ’22 matchup against Arkansas Pine-Bluff where he tossed a pair of touchdowns and threw for a career-high 128 yards.

This past season, the majority of his action came during a loss to South Alabama in which the Cowboys paid the Jaguars $300K to beat them on their home field.

He’s since committed to play for Alabama.

He hasn’t suited up for the Tide yet, though! Maybe a return is in the cards??

Sarah Stair might be Oklahoma State’s last hope of bringing Gunnar Gundy back!
