Ha Ha Clinton-Dix finds himself in a new, yet familiar position with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The former Bama star has now joined the staff as the Director of Player Development.
He was hired in the role this past offseason, and this week marked his first day on the job. It didn’t take long for him to land what he called an “a– chewing” from his former head coach.
Nick Saban has been roaming the sidelines in Tuscaloosa for what seems like an eternity. The future Hall of Famer has racked up an NCAA record seven national titles, six of which have come during his 16-year stint with the Tide.
Saban is known for his no-nonsense style of coaching, and he can often be seen giving his players and assistants, um… a bit of tough love, let’s say, on the sidelines.

On Tuesday, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix talked about his first day on staff with the Crimson Tide. He found himself in an all too familiar position.
Clinton-Dix, like any Alabama player in the recent past, has been chewed out a time or two by Saban. Despite being a two-year starter and eventual first round pick, he found himself on the receiving end of the head coach’s wrath on numerous occasions.
That doesn’t plan to end soon based on his experience as a staff member.
