Hailey Van Lith and Cameron Brink are in different stages of their basketball careers, but they are both hoping to represent the United States at the Olympics. The dynamic duo is likely going to run it back on the 3X3 team in Paris this summer.

Team USA has not yet made an official announcement of its roster for the women’s team but it seems like a forgone conclusion that they will be on the roster.

Brink and Van Lith played represented the stars and stripes at the 3X3 FIBA World Cup last year and brought home a world title. The latter was so lit that she broke her gold medal during her celebration!

Now, about 10 months later, the dynamic duo is coming off of a strong week at the FIBA 3×3 W Series in Springfield, Massachusetts. Team USA lost to its bitter rival, Canada, in the championship game by a score of 20-18 at the The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

Although they were not victorious when it mattered most, Van Lith and Brink showed why they deserve a spot on the Olympic roster. The No. 2 overall pick in the WNBA Draft threw a block party all week.

She was swatting everybody!

Brink’s team ultimately finished in fourth place. Van Lith’s team finished as the runners-up.

The former Louisville and LSU standout, who is currently in the transfer portal and expected to commit to TCU, was a walking bucket. Nobody could guard her!

Although neither Brink nor Van Lith likes to lose, the Springfield stop ultimately does not matter in the grand scheme of things. It was more of an exhibition than anything.

USA Basketball used the tournament as a period of evaluation. The selection committee watched both teams closely and will soon determine who will make the 3X3 Olympic team.

Van Lith and Brink will likely travel to Paris over the summer! Especially after their recent performances.
