Here’s How Much The 10 Highest Paid WWE Wrestlers Make…Brock Lesnar Gets BANK
Some diehard wrasslin’ fans are proclaiming that the WWE is currently experiencing a renaissance era. Ratings are up, there are some truly legitimate superstars in the mix, and based on this 2017 WWE Superstar Earnings report the money is flowing in.
John Cena is unquestionably the biggest star in the WWE at the moment, but he’s not the highest paid. John Cena might be making cash hand over fist outside of the WWE, but he’s currently playing second fiddle to Brock Lesnar in the salary department when it comes to the WWE.
Forbes has unveiled salaries for the 10 highest paid WWE wrestlers this year and I think these figures indicate that the WWE is just as relevant as its ever been, with tens of millions of dollars getting tossed around like nothing.
The 10 Highest Paid WWE Wrestlers In 2017
10. Randy Orton — $1.9 million
9. Seth Rollins — $2.4 million
9. The Undertaker — $2 million
7. Shane McMahon — $2.2 million
6. AJ Styles — $2.4 million
5. Dean Ambrose — $2.7 million
4. Roman Reigns — $3.5 million
3. Triple H — $3.8 million
2. John Cena — $8 million
1. Brock Lesnar — $12 million
Frankly, I’m SHOCKED to learn how much money these wrestlers are making when the highest paid executive at WWE (Kevin Dunn) gets paid around $4.8 million a year.
What I find interesting here is you can sort of glean where the WWE is headed in terms of promotion various superstars by how much they’re making this year. For instance, Seth Rollins hasn’t been particularly active over the past year-ish due to his knee injury, but he’s one of the highest paid guys in the WWE. So I’d be SHOCKED if the WWE isn’t throwing belts at him throughout the Summer. Another thing of note, with The Undertaker retiring at Wrestlemania 33 that will clear up several million to throw around at other superstars.
