The newest iteration of the NBA 2K franchise is almost here.
Fans of the franchise only have to wait until September 8th to begin playing NBA 2K24.
With the release of the new game now less than a month away, the creators of the game are now beginning to share one very important piece of information.
The NBA 2K Twitter account began sharing the ratings of some of the league’s top players today.
That reveal began with the announcement of who would receive the game’s top rating.
Unsurprisingly, the top-rated player in the latest edition of the game will be defending NBA champion Nikola Jokic, who earned an overall rating of 98.

Heading into last year’s playoffs, there may have been some debate over who actually deserved the top spot.
Despite having won the NBA MVP award the previous two seasons and having yet another dominant regular season, Nikola Jokic still wasn’t getting the respect he deserved.
He changed that in a big way during the NBA playoffs.
Jokic was unstoppable in the playoffs as the Nuggets ran through their competition on the way to the first title in franchise history. Along the way, he averaged 30 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game.
The 2K Twitter account also revealed that the game’s next highest rating will be a 96 overall and there will be 5 players who possess that rating.
Those 5 players are Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, and Steph Curry.
That top 6 has won the NBA’s last 5 NBA MVP awards and 12 of its last 15.
The players on this list have also combined to win 9 total NBA scoring titles, including the last 3.
Now that fans know who the top players in NBA 2K24 will be, they’ll only have to wait 30 more days to get to decide which one’s team they want to make their main team in the game.
