Need a reason to love hockey? Here’s a pretty awesome reason to love hockey – a fight inside the penalty box. In an ECHL game between the Utah Grizzlies and Colorado Eagles earlier this week, players brawled in the cozy confines of the penalty box.
Utah’s Jon Puskar was sentenced to the penalty box for cross-checking. While serving time, he talked smack to the Eagles’ Michael Sdao with the penalty box door wide open. Sdao stepped right into the box and began hurling punches at Puskar at the 1:20 mark. Seems reasonable.
For his shenanigans Sdao was given a three-game suspension in the process.
Hockey players gonna hockey.
