On Sunday, the NJCAA national title game between Dakota College at Bottineau and Erie Community College came to an unexpected end after a player attacked a ref on the rink.
Watch as freshman Brandon Day came out of the penalty box to violently shove the referee on the ice in the third period.

Day’s team ended up winning the game 7-4 but he wasn’t able to celebrate as he was immediately detained and arrested by police.
