Hockey Referee Hits A Player, Teammate Sees It And, Oh Shit, It Goes DOWN After That

There has been a TON of bad shit going on recently between referees and athletes—particularly on the high school football field—but another instance happened in a hockey rink in Canada, where, let’s be honest, they take their puck REALLY seriously.

In a game between St. Mary’s College and Sault High earlier this year, two guys were scuffling—as hockey players do—forcing refs to break up the shoving and preventing it from turning into anything worse.

When a ref was seen hitting a player as he pulled the kid away, that’s when shit goes next level, as a teammate of the kid came to his defense and started pummeling the man in the zebra jersey.

What in the hell was the ref thinking? I don’t know. I do know that he’s lucky one of the players didn’t try and pull a Happy Gilmore and take off his skate and try to stab him with it, though.
