The Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson is a man of his word and he’s about to make good on a bet. After his team’s disastrous 1-15 record in 2016, Hue Jackson said that he’d jump into Lake Erie if his team didn’t improve in 2017.

The Browns went winless in 2017 (0-16) and now it’s time to pay up. On June 1st, Browns head coach Hue Jackson will jump into Lake Erie along with Browns fans and he says he’ll personally donate $100 to charity for every Browns employee that jumps along with him:

The Lake Erie jump will be restricted to only Cleveland Browns employees and the $100/employee that jumps will be donated to the Hue Jackson Foundation, his charity which combats human trafficking across Northeast Ohio.

Why bring more publicity to your winless NFL team, your team that’s only won ONE game in two seasons? Hue Jackson had this to say: “It’s going to be a cleansing of the Cleveland Browns, That’s what it will be.”

It appears that he’s treating this as a fresh start for himself and the entire Browns organization and that might be a great thing for Cleveland fans. Or, it might make him look foolish when the Browns go winless in 2018 and he has to jump naked into the Arctic Ocean next year or take a naked lap around the White House.L
