Colin Kaepernick’s workout for NFL teams is set for Saturday in Atlanta. While plenty of details have been emerging about the workout since the announcement earlier in the week, one question remained as to who would be leading Kaepernick during the workout and throughout his drills.

Well, we have an answer, none other than Hue Jackson will be leading the way, according to ESPN.

Former NFL head coach Hue Jackson will lead the drills during quarterback Colin Kaepernick‘s scheduled workout in Atlanta on Saturday, and former NFL head coach Joe Philbin will be in attendance to assist, the league announced Thursday.

Jackson told ESPN’s Josina Anderson that he “just found out about it” on Thursday.

“The NFL asked me to do it. I’m excited about doing it for Colin and the league. As far as I know right now, Colin is still attending,” he said.

So, it turns out this workout is allowing two people that have been out of the league for some time to get back into the NFL conversation.

Jackson last coached the Browns during the 2018 season before being fired. In his two and a half seasons in Cleveland, he won just three games. He’s coached 55 games in the NFL and has won 11 of them.

Jackson leading the drills does make sense I guess though when you think about the fact that the rest of the coaches around the league will be busy getting set for their own team’s games on Sunday.
