Olympic medalist, rugby star, and Dancing With The Stars finalist Ilona Maher emerged from the 2021 Summer Olympics as one of the most popular figures in sports. She’s a bona fide star. And the New York Giants simply have no choice but to hire her.
Not to play ball though! The Giants need Ilona Maher to keep Jaxson Dart and their other talent in check. She proved this with a recent story on her House of Maher show with her sisters and guest Mikaela Shiffrin.
New York Giants Need To Hire Ilona Maher To Keep Jaxson Dart Humble
Before the winningest alpine skier of all time, Mikaela Shiffrin, joined in the discussion the Maher sisters reminisced on Ilona Maher’s trip to the Super Bowl this year and her run-in with Jaxson Dart. In the 2025 NFL season, Dart started 12 games, threw 15 touchdowns, and just 5 interceptions.
Of those 12 starts, the Giants only won 4 games. They did finish the season with a 2-game winning streak though, picking up W’s on the road against Las Vegas and at home against the Cowboys.
Being a 22-year-old quarterback in the NFL can lead to an inflated ego. I’m not saying that Jaxson Dart has one but I’m not not saying that either. And if he does, it is perfectly justifiable as he’s at the apex of his career. He made the show, and has a 4-year, $16.98 million fully guaranteed rookie contract with the Giants.
But humility is important! And Ilona Maher taught Jaxson Dart about that when they met at a Super Bowl party and all she saw was a cute boy with blonde hair and asked him if he plays football only to learn that he’s the quarterback.

Keeping Dart Humble
As Ilona tells the story, she was at the NY Giants’ Super Bowl party. It is unclear if the owner threw the party, Cam Skattebo, or who, but it’s. Giants-centric party. Maher says she sudes this dude “he’s like blonde. He’s attractive guy, young looking. And I’m like, “Hey, what’s up, man?” He’s like, “Hey.” Hey, I’m like, So, uh, you play football?”
She continued, saying “That’s awesome, man. What team you play for?” Mind you, it’s a Giants scataboo party. I was like, “What team you play for?” He’s like, “The Giants.” I was like, “Sweet, man. Sweet. That’s awesome. That’s really cool, man. What position are you?” He’s like, “I’m the quarterback.” I’m like, “Oh, it was Jackson Dart.” Her sister chimed in with “it’s cool what they’re letting blonde men do these days.”
If this was an isolated incident we’d understand but then it happened again several moments later with Jameis Winston. She was just out there keeping these NFL players humble. Remarking “he knew who I was, I didn’t know who he was” at one point because as I mentioned above, Ilona Maher is a massive star.
Ilona Maher is your favorite athlete’s favorite athlete on social media. And for that reason, we need the Giants to hire her, put her on payroll, and come around the facilities to keep these men’s feet on the ground. A levelheaded Jaxson Dart having been put in his place by Ilona Maher is thinking about football, not his next endorsement.
