Infamous Denver Broncos free-agent lineman, Dalton Risner, is garnering significant attention from multiple NFL teams as he explores his options in free agency.
Despite being one of the most surprising unsigned players in the market, Risner has managed to generate considerable interest, according to 9NEWS’ Mike Klis.
Risner has garnered “serious interest” from seven teams. This interest is indicative of the high regard in which he is held within the league. Risner is not rushing into a decision and is carefully considering the best fit for his talents, indicating his willingness to wait for the ideal opportunity.
Having served as the Denver Broncos’ starting left guard for the past four years, Risner’s performance on the field and his off-field contributions have made him a sought-after asset. In fact, Risner was nominated as the team’s Walter Payton Man of the Year, further highlighting his character and impact beyond the game.
Interestingly, the guard market did not unfold as expected during the initial stages of free agency, leaving several talented players, including Risner, without a team.
While Risner’s on-field performance has been commendable, he faced controversy during the 2022 season. In a highly publicized incident, he engaged in a physical altercation with quarterback Brett Rypien on the sidelines during a blowout loss to the Rams.

However, Risner’s skills and track record have outweighed this incident, making him an attractive prospect for several NFL teams.
Selected as a second-round pick by the Broncos in the 2019 NFL Draft, Risner quickly established himself as a reliable force on the offensive line. He started every game at left guard in his first two seasons and missed just four out of 66 games over his four-year tenure, accumulating a total of 62 starts.
Standing at 6’5″ and weighing 312 pounds, Risner’s imposing presence and consistent performance have made him a valuable asset.
