Ireland’s Michael Conlan lost to Russia’s Vladimir Nikitin in a bantamweight quarterfinal match at the Rio Olympics on Tuesday that many felt the Irishman should have won.
After the fight, Conlan flipped off the judges and proceeded to bash them during the post-fight interview for being a bunch of “cheating bastards”.
“AIBA (world amateur boxing association) are cheats,” “They’re all fucking cheats, simple as that. I’ll never box for AIBA again. They’re cheating bastards. They’re paying everybody. I don’t give a fuck that I’m cursing on TV. I was here to win Olympic gold. My dream’s been shattered now.”

This isn’t the first time and it certainly won’t be the last time Olympic boxing judges will be accused of fixing fights.
