Isiah Thomas Continues His One-Sided Feud With Michael Jordan, Claiming ‘The Flu Game’ Wasn’t Real

Michael Jordan has been living rent-free in the head of Isiah Thomas for the past 40 years. Thomas takes every opportunity he can to try to dismiss the legendary career of the six-time champion.

At some point, one might think he would move on and get over whatever animosity he has towards Jordan. That day, however, is still in the future, apparently, as he once again decided to go after MJ, this time targeting, as the NBA calls it on the league’s YouTube channel, the “Iconic Flu Game.”

Isiah Thomas calls out the NBA and NBC for talking about ‘The Flu Game’

During his recent appearance on Run It Back, host Michelle Beadle knew exactly what she was doing when she had Isiah Thomas on as a guest and brought up Michael Jordan being featured on the NBA on NBC this past season.

“I did like the idea of the NBA just having MJ and other legends,” Beadle said about NBC using Jordan on some of its broadcasts. “How do you feel about the idea of bringing in more legends, having them be more involved on a more daily basis?”

“Only if they’re going to be one hundred percent honest, and not promote this BS,” Thomas replied. “Tell the truth about the game. Give our game truthfully, honestly, and factually to the fans so they can continue to learn and grow and love our game.

“But the way our game is being talked about in some ways, it’s very mythical, right? It ain’t real. Like, we’re still calling his game ‘The Flu Game,’ and we know he didn’t have the flu. But they promote it. They promote it. Then they, historically, get into it, right?

“I’m just down for honesty and telling the truth about what it is we’re seeing. So, if NBC is going to bring back people to talk about the game, bring the folks who are going to be honest and tell the truth. Not this BS.”

Three guesses who Isiah Thomas thinks would be the correct former player they should bring in to do such a thing.
