Ja Morant put on a show during his 52-point outburst against the Spurs, and he did so with a fresh pair of custom sneakers on his feet.
Morant wore a bright yellow and orange pair of Kobe 6s, his shoe of choice, but this particular pair was special. This pair came from former tattoo artist turned sneaker customization artist Sierato.
The shoes had Morant’s No. 12 featured on them along with a light blue midsole that perfectly matched the Grizzlies’ City Edition jerseys they wore against the Spurs.

Morant recorded history in those shoes scoring the most points in Memphis Grizzlies history in them, but he’ll likely never see them again.
After Memphis’ win over San Antonio, Morant not only gave up his jersey to a childhood friend, he also gave the custom pair of sneakers to a fan inside FedEx Forum. He regrets giving up the shoes, he didn’t want to give them up.
“Somebody got a special pair of shoes, man,” Morant said, according to Damichael Cole of Memphis Commercial Appeal. “I really didn’t want to, but I did.”
“I’m kind of sick I gave them up, I wasn’t thinking. My head was all over the place.”
While Morant gave up that pair of Sierato customs, he’s got more in the closet.
Morant has another four or five pairs he can pull out, and showed off one of the pairs during Memphis’ shootaround on Wednesday.
The Grizzlies’ star may pull out another custom pair during Thursday night’s nationally televised game against the Boston Celtics. If he does, it’s safe to say he won’t be giving those away, unless of course he goes for another 50 piece.
