Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has upgraded from his celebration that got him in trouble with the NBA. Last week, Morant found himself in hot water with the league after he performed two finger gun celebrations in the span of a few days. The NBA ended up fining Morant $75k and warned him to stop.
“Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has been fined $75,000 for twice making an inappropriate gesture on the playing court. Morant was previously warned by the league office that his gesture could be interpreted in a negative light.”
After getting fined, Morant broke his silence on why he continued to do the celebration despite being warned by the NBA.
“I’m kind of used to it,” Morant told reporters in Miami. “I’m pretty much a villain for two years now, so yeah, I don’t care no more.”
Morant debuted a new grenade celebration during the Grizzlies game against the Hornets on Tuesday night.

The NBA probably won’t fine Morant over his latest celebration, but they can’t be happy with the Grizzlies star openly mocking them every week.
