16-Year-Old Scores USA Hockey Goal Of The Year, Burning 3 Defenders And The Goalie

It’s early in the USHL season, but 16-year-old Team USA Center Jack Hughes from Orlando, Florida just netted what’s probably the ‘Goal of the Year’. Jack plays for the U.S. National Development Team in the USHL. Jack actually leads Team USA’s USHL team with 7 points on the season (through 3 games) after scoring a goal and netting two assists on Sunday.

Here’s the absolutely redonkulus goal that Jack Huges pulled off against Green Bay on Sunday that will probably go down as the ‘Goal of the Year’ when the 2017-2018 USHL season wraps up. It’s always hard to believe that goal scored 3 games into a season can be considered ‘Goal of the Year’ but this one’s that good:

According to S.I. Hockey, 16-year-old Jack isn’t committed to a collegiate hockey team yet. His OHL rights were drafted at #8 this year but Jack won’t be eligible for the NHL draft until 2019. It’s always interesting to track whether these stars choose to spend a few years growing in college or head straight to the developmental leagues…What do you bros think, does he head to college or go straight to the minor leagues?
