Could Jake Paul fight for a world title in the near future?. On June 28th, Paul is set to face off against former boxing champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Anaheim, California.

Paul believes a fight with Chavez Jr. is a big step up in competition.

“This fight has been brewing for quite some time now. The fans have wanted to see this, and I want to continue to elevate and raise the level of my opponents. This is a former world champion, and he has an amazing resume following in his dad’s footsteps […]. This guy is a great fighter, and I want to test myself against the best in the world.”

During a media scrum, Paul revealed that he’s currently in discussion to fight cruiserweight champion Badou Jack if he beats Chavez Jr.

“I’m super interested, I had Nakisa (Bidarian) contact his team behind the scenes, so those discussions are happening.”

Jack has been open to fighting Paul when speaking to the media.

“It’s an easy fight and it’s a money fight,” Jack said. “So, why not?”

Before there are any talks about a title shot, Paul has to take care of business and beat Chavez Jr. on June 28th.
