I’ve been a New York Knicks fan since I was a kid. The franchise has made a lot of truly terrible decisions in those years. But, even when they’ve made great decisions, they’ve been sabotaged by terrible luck.

It’s happened again, folks. The first competent Knicks front office since the invention of the MP3 player has finally assembled a very good roster that is capable of a deep playoff run. Naturally, four starters are now injured after superstar guard Jalen Brunson went down with what looks to be a serious injury Sunday evening against the Cavaliers.

Take a look at the injury, which looks to be a freak accident.

The Knicks are already without Julius Randle, OG Anunoby, and Mitchell Robinson, though all three could be making their returns sooner rather than later. But, Brunson is by far their most valuable player and the guy they simply cannot lose.

Jalen Brunson has played at an MVP-candidate level this year for the New York Knicks. The Villanova product is averaging 27.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on good shooting splits. He is absolutely the engine for a Knicks team that was as high as second in the Eastern Conference Standings before injuries to Randle and Anunoby.

This is just another terrible break for New York Knicks fans.
