It appears that Jalen Hurts might not actually join his teammates when the Eagles visit the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl win. A few months ago there was a bit of drama when it was reported that Eagles players would refuse to go the White House.
“A source at the Eagles, who spoke anonymously, stressed that conversations about refusing a visit with President Donald Trump after beating the Kansas City Chiefs have already occurred,” the U.S. Sun reported.
The White House claims they invited the Eagles to come to the White House, and the team has already accepted.
“We sent the invite and they enthusiastically accepted. We are working with them to determine a date and logistics.”
During a recent red-carpet interview with TIME magazine, Hurts was asked if he intended to visit the White House, and he awkwardly refused to answer the question.
