Before Jalen Ramsey’s Rams got mushroom-stamped by the Ravens, the cornerback was asked by reporters about how his defense was preparing to square up against Lamar Jackson.
Ramsey took a quote from the 1994 film Little Giants when he responded, “the game is 90 percent physical and 10 percent mental.” (The quote is actually 80 percent mental and 40 percent physical, but who’s counting).
It appeared that Ramsey took that mantra to heart in the Rams 45-6 home loss to the Ravens, doing everything in his power to avoid physical contact.
I know there isn’t a self-loving human being on earth who would willingly accept the kamikaze mission of tackling the 5’9”, 215-pound meat wagon that is Mark Ingram, but nearly all of those people aren’t on deck to become the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.

I’ve seen restraining orders allow more contact than what Ramsey demonstrated on this play. Sad.
Maybe he was saving all his physicality until after the game??
In Ramsey’s defense, he did have one pass deflection and eight tackles, but this egregious display of effort didn’t win him any points on the world wide web.
He thinks he can dictate where he plays and how he plays. He will always be trouble for coaches. Sad.

Can’t teach an old dawg new tricks I guess.
How about Ramsey playing with zero effort. Bottom screen, just walking . Pathetic pic.twitter.com/i5pJW2tRlj
