Ja’Marr Chase Says Joe Burrow Gave Him ‘A Nod’ To Indicate He’s All Right After Injury Scare

In a display of strong camaraderie and non-verbal communication, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase received a reassuring nod from quarterback Joe Burrow, calming concerns over Burrow’s recent calf injury.

The incident occurred during Thursday’s practice, and while the extent of Joe Burrow’s calf injury remains undisclosed, head coach Zac Taylor confirmed that the quarterback had to step out of practice.

The team is yet to provide an official update on Burrow’s condition, leaving fans on edge about his availability for the upcoming 2023 season.

Ja’Marr Chase, however, shares a close bond with Burrow on and off the field, shed some light on the situation, via Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith.

Speaking to reporters, Chase revealed that despite not having seen Burrow in the training room, he received a comforting nod from the quarterback, indicating that he is likely to be okay.

Chase expressed confidence in Burrow’s resilience and strength, stating, “We always give each other that nod. He gave me a nod [to say] he’s all right. He’s a strong dude.”

The receiver’s belief in his teammate’s ability to overcome challenges provided reassurance to the Bengals’ fanbase.

“I wasn’t really worried,” Chase remarked, emphasizing his trust in Burrow’s ability to recover from injuries. He added, “I believe he’s all right,” signifying the optimism shared by the team regarding Burrow’s condition.

As the Bengals aim for a successful 2023 season, Joe Burrow’s health remains a crucial factor.
