Saints Fans Are Ready For An MVP Season After Seeing Jameis Winston Show Up To Camp With Braids

Saints fans expect Jameis Winston to be locked in this season after seeing the signal caller show up to the team’s training camp with braids. The passer should be the top option in New Orleans this year after getting re-signed by the Saints this past offseason.

The deal solidifies the immediate future under center for the franchise after the front office toyed with the idea of making a change. New Orleans was mentioned in connection with passers like Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield, but in the end, they stuck with the former Heisman trophy winner.

Now, he’ll look to lead the team back to the playoffs after missing out in last year’s 9-8 campaign.

Winston has put in the work this offseason as he recovered from a knee injury, but it’s his hair that could be the ultimate defining factor. In May, the talented passer said he was channeling his inner Samson in a refusal to cut his locks.

“I’m going to keep my hair because it’s about the power in Samson’s hair. So I still got my power in my hair and I’m going to grow it out.”

Samson, in the Biblical sense, wielded unimaginable strength in his long locks. Winston believes there is power in his own head of hair, and it appears that many Saints fans do, too.

Fans react to Jameis Winton’s braids at training camp

When Jameis showed up to training camp rocking the long braids, a number of Saints fans said it meant trouble for the rest of the NFL. Take a look at the immediate reaction on social media.

Many fans got a glimpse of the braids earlier this month as he continued through his offseason workouts.

It appears opposing fans are taking note, too.

We’ll see if the braids can bring Winston some added strength as he returns from injury and navigates through a division Tom Brady and Baker Mayfield. According to Saints fans, you shouldn’t bet against their starting signal caller.
