Duke guard Jared McCain is a superstar— both on and off of the basketball court. The 20-year-old continues to facilitate the Blue Devils’ offense while setting TikTok on fire with his singing voice.
McCain, a five-star prospect in the Class of 2023, was the 14th-ranked player in the country last year. He is currently averaging 13.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 30.6 minutes per game as a freshman. It is a pleasure to watch him play college basketball and it is impossible to dislike him even though he is at Duke.
While his basketball is impressive, his attitude is what makes him so fun. McCain’s joyous disposition is infectious and he is unapologetically himself— all the way down to his colorful nail polish.

McCain unknowingly sparked a new trend at the end of January by singing ‘2 Days Into College.’ The video immediately went viral because of the catchy melody and the Duke star’s ability to carry a tune.
The sound immediately blew up and multiple remixes came to exist.
Whether McCain goes, ‘2 Days Into College’ will follow, whether he likes it or not. Fortunately, he likes it!
Duke students started camping out (tenting) for the North Carolina game more than two weeks before tipoff. Krzyzewskiville, as it is known, is packed. And prior to this past Saturday’s game against Virginia, they received a special visit. McCain and some of his teammates swung by to show their appreciation.
The star guard even grabbed the mic and serenaded them with his most viral song!
