Cal-Berkeley running back Jaydn Ott does not get enough love for his impressive on-field performance during the 2023 college football season. He is also one of the funniest and most savage athletes in sports.

Ott, a former four-star recruit, committed to play for the Golden Bears in the Class of 2022. His presence in the backfield became an immediate catalyst for success.

The 6-foot-0, 200-pound ball-carrier went for 897 yards as a freshman and burst onto the scene with 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore last year. Ott averaged 5.3 yards per touch in both seasons.

Although there was never indication that he might leave, there was a belief that the rising junior could choose to seek a larger NIL package at a bigger program in 2024. That did not happen.

Ott pulled the ultimate SIKE on the Cal fanbase by entering the transfer portal for literally six seconds before announcing his return. It was a huge deal and couldn’t have been more cruel in a fun-loving way.

That’s big part of who Ott is. He loves having fun!

The 21-year-old took a hilarious photo with the famous Berkeley Furries earlier this week. A furry is “a subculture interested in anthropomorphic animals.” They often dress up as cartoon-like animals.

There is a thriving population of Furries at Cal. Ott showed them some love!

It is no secret that Cal-Berkeley leans liberal. As a result, students are encouraged to share their preferred pronouns during introductions on the first day of class.

Jaydn Ott went with a unique declaration as class got underway earlier this week. He is Him!

Although the professor likely did not expect Ott to go with ‘Him,’ he or she (or they?) will be asked to refer to the running back by his declared pronoun throughout the semester. That’s incredible.
