Nationals’ Jayson Werth’s Profane Message During His On-Field Interview Just Made Baseball Fun Again

Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth has had plenty of haters ever since he inked an outrageously large contract in 2011 for seven years and $126 million. So he’s sort of used to shade being tossed his way.

Werth, after hitting a walk-off single for the win tonight, let out any pent up frustration during his postgame, on-field interview, though, as he spoke live in front of thousands of Nats fans to reporter Dan Kolko—and it was so incredibly lovely.

Even Kolko tweeted about it afterwards, finding it hard not to find amusing.

Werth’s teammate, Bryce Harper, is on a quest to make baseball fun again, and it might have just begun with his overpriced teammate tonight.
