San Antonio Spurs Forward Jeremy Sochan Flies Into Crowd, Gives Man A Kiss

Nearly all the storylines around the 2023-2024 San Antonio Spurs have centered around rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama. It makes sense, as he looks like he’s going to live up to the massive, generational, hype that he came into the NBA with.

But, Jeremy Sochan is a pretty good young player, too. The second-year player from Poland is someone who the Spurs are counting on to develop into a stud if this young core will be a championship team someday.

But, the 6’10 forward made a highlight clip for a reason that has little to do with his burgeoning play. Instead, he jumped into the stands after a loose ball, stole some popcorn, and kissed a gentleman. Take a look.

I bet that fan didn’t think he’d be getting a kiss from a San Antonio Spurs fan when he walked into the Frost Bank Center on Wednesday.

The Spurs lost to the Heat, naturally, as they’re one of the worst teams in the NBA. And, Jeremy Sochan was pretty bad, scoring 6 points on 3-7 shooting while adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

But, he’s shown progress this year, averaging 11 points, 6 rebounds, and just shy of 4 assists a game on greatly improved three-point shooting. The team actually experimented with Sochan as a point forward early in the year. Even though they’ve scrapped playing him there, he definitely learned invaluable playmaking skills.

Currently, the Spurs are 10-41. But, they have Victor Wembanyama a good young core, one of the greatest coaches of all-time, and another high pick coming. It could be much worse.
