Browns WR Jerry Jeudy Embraces The Culture Of His New QB Deshaun Watson By Seeking Out A Massage Therapist

Earlier in the offseason, the Cleveland Browns sent a 5th and 6th round draft pick to the Denver Broncos for former first-round draft pick wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Despite the fact that the 24-year-old Jeudy has yet to surpass 1,000 yards receiving in any of his four NFL seasons, the Browns handed the former Alabama Crimson Tide wideout a fat contract extension all the same as they signed him to a three-year, $52.5 million after the trade.

The Browns certainly aren’t strangers to handing out absurdly long contracts to questionable prospects, as they famously gave controversial quarterback Deshaun Watson a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million deal.

Since signing for him, that $230 million deal has netted the browns just 12 starts by Watson over two years. In those 12 starts, Watson has compiled an 8-4 record while completing 59% of his passes for 2217 yards and 14 touchdowns. The former Heisman Trophy winner has also struggled to recapture the form that made him a star with the Texans during the early goings of his career.

Now set to be catching passes from Watson, Jeudy seems to be embracing the culture of the former Houston Texans signal-caller, as he posted a story to his Instagram in search of a massage therapist.

Watson, of course, was facing 24 separate allegations of sexual misconduct and/or assault, which is the reason that his former team, the Houston Texans, were willing to trade him to the Browns in the first place. Many of the allegations were tied to Watson’s conduct while with massage therapists.

Jeudy will be teaming up with fellow former Alabama wideout Amari Cooper in Cleveland, where the 29-year-old has been since 2022. Cooper had a career-high in yards with the Browns last year as he racked up 1,250 receiving yards while catching passes from five different quarterbacks: Watson, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, P. J. Walker, Joe Flacco, and Jeff Driskel.
