Jerry Jones all but admitted on Friday that the report about him telling Robert Kraft not to “f— with me” during a heated exchange is true. He also shared his feelings about Commanders owner Daniel Snyder and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

During his Friday appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Jerry Jones was asked about the argument he had with the New England Patriots owner at Tuesday’s meeting in New York.

The argument was reportedly over negotiations on a new contract for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

ESPN’s Don Van Natta Jr. told NESN on Thursday, “Kraft is not as concerned about it. Kraft wasn’t as concerned about it back in 2017, nor was Arthur Blank, who was the chairman of the compensation committee, and so they got into it. And as I understand it, Kraft was sort of saying like ‘Again? We’re dealing with this again?’ And Jerry said to him ‘Don’t f— with me,’ and Kraft said ‘Excuse me?’ And then Jerry ended it himself, I guess turned it into a PG rating and sort of said don’t mess with me.”

Jones, addressing the disagreement with Kraft, told 105.3 The Fan, “First of all, I’ve just gotten used to the fact that when you’re saying something, it’s highly likely that it could be being recorded or it could be being heard and will be repeated… I’ve just gotten used to that, so consequently I really don’t say things that… it’s almost like every time I talk it’s like talking to you guys over the air here…

“So in answer to your question it’s not surprising or, frankly, disappointing to me that anything that’s said in a meeting that you would think would have a lot of real exclusivity or protection so that you could really express your feelings, it’s not surprising to me that it’s out, would get out, and certainly when you are in those situations you express yourself with people you know and people that are around a lot and express yourself in different ways.

“I would say, in this particular case, it’s probably accurate that I did express myself in probably a way that’s not in good taste.”

Jerry Jones also discussed his feelings about NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and Commanders owner Daniel Snyder

Jerry Jones also stated during the discussion, “Let me be real clear, I’m a real supporter of Roger Goodell as our commissioner. I think he’s done outstanding… [I had] an issue with the structure regarding how we were going to address the commissioner or his successor, not my support for Roger.”

When he was asked about the situation with Washington Commanders owner Daniel Snyder and whether he feels any obligation to defend Snyder a fellow NFL owner, Jones replied, “”Not at all. Not at all.

“I’m just not aware of the kind of issues. I hear the media speculation, but that’s all I hear. That’s not supported by tangible facts.”

Jones added, “I’m not aware of anything myself that rises to the level that is being speculated about whether or not he’s with the Washington team or not.”
