The New York Jets named Mekhi Becton the starting right tackle at the conclusion of the preseason and it sounds like nobody is happier than Aaron Rodgers.

While talking with the media, the future Hall of Fame quarterback delivered a heartwarming message to Becton.

You can take this message and apply it to pretty much anywhere in life.

It’s been a frustrating journey for Mekhi Becton. The Jets selected him 11th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. He had a ton of hype around him, as he proved to be one of the best offensive line prospects entering the draft that year.

However, injuries have completely hindered his career so far. This time last year, the young right tackle suffered an avulsion fracture of his right kneecap. Additionally, he played just one game in 2021 due to injuries.

With that in mind, it’s awesome to see how much support Becton is receiving from Aaron Rodgers. It’s a side of the veteran quarterback we’ve rarely seen. Especially in recent years when drama enveloped the Green Bay Packers franchise.

Hopefully, Becton can remain healthy and prove to be a consistent right tackle for the Jets. He aims to have a major comeback after suffering from injuries the last two years.

And with Aaron Rodgers under center, perhaps the Jets can finally have some success.

Aaron Rodgers and the Jets will play their first game of the season on September 11. They’ll be taking on the Buffalo Bills in what should be a great Monday Night Football matchup.
