The New York Jets are the current owners of the longest playoff drought in the National Football League, as they haven’t made the playoffs since the 2010 season. They also now employ one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the league in 39-year-old four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers.

As a result of their acquisition of Aaron Rodgers, Jets fans believe that an end to their suffering might finally be in sight, especially after seeing Rodgers in a full uniform for the first time on Wednesday when he reported for the first day of training camp.

Jets fans certainly aren’t alone in their belief that Rodgers can lead them to the promised land, as the bookies also appear to be believers in Gang Green, too.

Ahead of the start of NFL training camps, Rodgers and the Jets have the seventh-shortest odds to win next year’s Super Bowl, with only the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, and Dallas Cowboys being bigger favorites.

Rodgers and the Jets are certainly going to have their work cut out for them if they’re going to win the Super Bowl, let alone make the playoffs, as they aren’t even expected to win their own division.

The New York Jets will certainly find out what they’re made of virtually as soon as the season starts as they’ll be kicking off their 2023 campaign with a Monday Night Football matchup against Josh Allen and the rest of the aforementioned Buffalo Bills.

Making matters more difficult for the Jets is the fact that the AFC is loaded with elite quarterbacks, as a recent poll conducted by ESPN found that NFL players, coaches, scouts, etc., consider the top players at the position to be Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Rodgers, and Justin Herbert.
