The New York Jets’ abject disaster of a 2024 season continued on Sunday with an embarrassing 31-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, dropping the team’s record to 3-7 and all but mathematically eliminating them from playoff contention.

While this was *finally* supposed to be the year things change for the Jets — who are currently in the midst of a 13-year postseason drought — it’s wound up being more of the same for the famously moribund franchise, as virtually every aspect of the team has been a disaster.

With yet another Jets’ season down the train, Gang Green nation has, once again, taken out their pitchforks toward owner Woody Johnson, whose misery is providing the only ray of solace that the fanbase currently has.

“Woody Johnson single handily destroyed any chance of having a winning season when he fired Robert Saleh. He is an incompetent, petulant nincompoop. A complete & utter fool,” said a viral tweet following the Jets’ loss to the Cardinals.

“The joke is on Woody Johnson after his Jets dream team delusions,” wrote New York Post Sports.

“It’s laughable just how badly the Jets’ defense fell off since Woody Johnson fired Robert Saleh. It’s karma,” another NFL fan chimed in.

With Point72 founder Steve Cohen (worth ~$41 billion) in the midst of saving the Mets from irrelevancy, some Jets fans have even begun to dream about him buying the Jets, too.

Woody Johnson bought the Jets in January 2000 and within weeks of owning the team, saw Bill Belichick walk out the door as head coach. In his 24 years as team owner, the Jets have won the AFC East just once (in 2002), and have qualified for the playoffs just six times.
